T lymphocytes to IDO+ cells: check.

چکیده
In this issue of Blood, Sørensen et al observe a functional indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO)–specific CD8 T-cell population in humans.1 IDO-specific CD8 T cells are capable of killing IDO cells. Given that IDO expression is induced in physiologic and pathologic immune responses, and that IDO-expressing cells may temper immune activation, this work suggests an important role for IDO-specific CD8 T cells in immune-regulatory networks.

بیان ترجیهی مولکول های CD200 و ایندول آمین 2و3 دی اکسیژناز-1 (IDO) در بیماران مبتلا به لوسمی میلوئیدی حاد (AML) عود شده
Background & Objectives: Defect in Immune responses, such as immunosuppression is one of the major causes of AML pathogenesis and progression which could be targeted for immunotherapy of these patients. CD200 and IDO are immunoregulatory factors which are overexpressed in some solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Distinct researches have shown that CD200 and IDO expressions are associat...
متن کاملIndoleamine 2,3-Dioxygenase and Immunological Tolerance during Pregnancy
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), an enzyme involved in the catabolism of tryptophan, is expressed by a variety of cells and tissues such as macrophages, dendritic cells, cells of the endocrine system and by the placenta. IFN- γ is the main inducer of this enzyme. IDO acts as an important defense mechanism of innate immunity against pathogens. It also has tumor suppressive activity and prolong...
متن کاملCD4 responses against IDO
Natural indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO)-reactive CD4(+) T cells have been shown to release interferonγ (IFNγ), tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα), as well as interleukin 17 (IL-17). In some individuals, these cells also demonstrated the ability to suppress IL-10 production. IDO-specific CD4(+) helper T cells among peripheral blood lymphocytes may participate in immunoregulatory networks by delayi...
متن کاملThe Immune System Strikes Back: Cellular Immune Responses against Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase
BACKGROUND The enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) exerts an well established immunosuppressive function in cancer. IDO is expressed within the tumor itself as well as in antigen-presenting cells in tumor-draining lymph nodes, where it promotes the establishment of peripheral immune tolerance to tumor antigens. In the present study, we tested the notion whether IDO itself may be subject to...
متن کاملEffects of Treg cells and IDO on human epithelial ovarian cancer cells under hypoxic conditions
The aim of the present study was to explore the effect of hypoxia on ovarian cancer. A total of 6 samples were analyzed: SKOV3‑IP cells (ovarian cancer cell line); SKOV3‑IP and regulatory T (Treg) cells; SKOV3‑IP and cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs); SKOV3‑IP and natural killer (NK) cells; SKOV3‑IP co-cultured with CTLs and Treg cells; and SKOV3‑IP co-cultured with Treg cells and NK cells. The ex...
